CUMBERLAND – Adaline Remona (Twigg) Cookerly, 92, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at UPMC – Western Maryland.

Born on May 19, 1931, in Cresaptown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Ida (Hart) Twigg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Harold William Cookerly.

Adaline was known to love the ocean and would visit Myrtle Beach, as well as traveling on different ship cruises. She also enjoyed spending her time bowling. In her younger years, Adaline enjoyed square-dancing, making her own dresses and camping out with her husband when they traveled for events.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Harold Cookerly, Gregory William Cookerly and wife Pamela, and Tamra Sue Clark; grandchildren, Heather Cookerly, David Cookerly and wife, Dreama, Kara Cochran and husband, Terry, Aaron Cookerly and fiancée, Heather, Kevin Cookerly, and Andrew Clark and wife, Camie; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, her sister, Doris Ellsworth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Adaline is also survived by her beloved cat, Twinkles.

Family and friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway SW, Cresaptown, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, January 10, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. A funeral services will immediately follow with Rev. Harold McClay and Pastor Patrick Burhman officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
