Alice Hewitt Bloom, 91 of LaVale, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024 at the Lions Center. She was born March 13, 1933, in Force, PA the only daughter of the late Darl and Virginia Hewitt.

Alice was a licensed registered nurse in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Ohio. She graduated from the school of nursing associated with Clearfield Hospital on the 3rd day of September 1954.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She devoted her life to her children, leaving her nursing career when her first child was born.

She is survived by three children, Karen Pearcy and husband Jeremy of Lindfield Haywards Heath, England, Alan Bloom and wife Cathy of Forest, VA, David Bloom of Bowie, MD; 7 grandchildren Thomas, Lauren, Stephen and Andrew Pearcy, Alan Junior (AJ), Michael and Taylor Bloom; 4 great-grandchildren Alex and Iris Pearcy, Avery, and Lily Mee; step-grandchildren, Adriane DiCamillo and Kelsey Miller.

In accordance with her wishes, Alice was cremated. There will be a brief service on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens mausoleum, 11128 Cash Valley Road, La Vale, Maryland.
