Obituary

Wiley ford Anna Mae Brakeall, 85, of Wiley Ford, WV, passed Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the Cumberland Health Care Center.Born in Cumberland, MD on May 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Annie Pearl (Stouffer) and Clyde W. Holler. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Don Brakeall; son, Dave M. Brakeall; sisters, Laura Stevenson and husband Scotty, and Thelma Walker and husband John; brothers, Blair Holler and wife Marjorie, and Elmer Holler and Idella.Anna Mae was a graduate of Fort Hill High School class of 1951, and she was a graduate of Catherman's Business School. Following high school, Anna Mae was employed at Fairchild Industries in Hagerstown. She was later employed as the office manager at the Allegany County Transit Authority, from where she retired.Anna Mae was a member of Second Baptist Church, and the Eastern Star McKinley Chapter. At Second Baptist Church, Anna Mae was involved in many church activities. She taught Sunday School, participated in the Vacation Bible School Program, and she attended the Bible study program.She is survived by her children, Donna M. Haines and husband Tim, Short Gap, Dale M. Brakeall and Rose Hughson, Cumberland, and Dean M. Brakeall, Wiley Ford; granddaughter, Erica and fianc Tim, Short Gap; great-grandchildren, Asher and Aislinn; brother-in-law, Rev. Benny Brakeall and wife Mary; sister-in-law, Susan Davis; as well as several nieces and nephews.Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 4-7 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11 A.M with Rev. Sherrill Dillon officiating. Interment will be in Lybarger Cemetery, Madley, PA.The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Western Maryland Health Care System's Home Hospice Unit for their kind, compassionate care they had given Anna Mae in her final days.Condolences for the family may be left at www.ScarpelliFH.com
