Anna Belle Twigg, 87, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born November 27, 1936 in Elkins, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ashby and Virginia Mae (Bodkin) Lawrence. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Twigg; and a daughter, Lawana Belle (Twigg) Swan.

She was a homemaker for her husband and children. When her husband was alive they enjoyed bowling on local leagues and riding Harleys.

Surviving are sons, James A. Twigg and wife Sherry and Chris D. Twigg and wife Rosemary; grandchildren, Tonya Ross, Misty Dawn Dotson and husband Bruce, J.J. Twigg and wife Missy; Crystal Alexander and husband Mike; great-grandchildren, Haylee, McKinlee, Miabella, Jet, Arneshia, Anthony, Tim, and Gary; several great-great grandchildren; a sister, Sherry Kearns; a brother, Donald Lawrence and wife Shirley; and a very large extended family.

Visitation will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, on Friday, October 25th from 11am to 1pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm. with Rev. Harold McClay officiating.

Pallbearers will be J.J. Twigg, Bruce Dotson, Todd Lawrence, Troy Lawrence, Virgil Lawrence, and Richard Twigg.

Interment will be with her husband in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD.
