FLINTSTONE, MD—Arlena S. (Hall) Barnes, 82, of Flintstone, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.

Born December 29, 1940, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Suella (Fletcher) Hall. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lee Barnes; sister, Mildred Dixon; and brother, Bobby Hall.

Mrs. Barnes was a homemaker. She loved to sew and put puzzles together. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her two sons, Kenneth Barnes and wife Debbie, Flintstone; Gary Barnes and wife Tammy, LaVale; sister, Anna Grace Tucker, Tenn.; brother, Herman Hall, Jr., Baltimore Pike; and five grandchildren, Garrett Barnes and wife Jennifer, Nathaniel Barnes, Grace Taylor and husband Jimmie, Devin Barnes and wife Crystal, and Josh Humbertson and wife Becky; 17 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 2 to 4pm and from 7 to 9pm.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, July 17, at 1pm with the Rev. Harold R. McClay, Jr. officiating.

Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery, Flintstone.
