Azolean Lee Jenkins, 64, of Cumberland passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at her home.

She was born in Baltimore, MD on January 22, 1959 to the Alvin VanHouten and Kathleen Bennett-Miller. In addition to her father, Azolean, was proceeded in death by her husband Larry R. Jenkins Sr.; a sister, Bobbie Ann Barb.

She attended Mount Savage High School and then Allegany College were she became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Next she worked at the Cumberland Nursing Home and Allegany County Nursing Home. Later she worked in manufacturing at Hunter Douglas and then Schroeder Industries until her retirement.

Lee enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to go shopping and getting her nails done with her sister Karen. She enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend Shawn and their dog Belea and cat Penny at their home in Cumberland. Lee's grandchildren meant the world to her. She never missed any important events in their lives. She loved spending time with them during the holidays, baking cookies and making fudge with Kiah. She also spent her vacations in Ohio with her daughter and son in law where she enjoyed going to zoos, gardens, and the Amish country with her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, Azolean is survived by her boyfriend, Shawn Hedrick; children, James Urice and wife Jonna; Azolean A. Skorvanik and husband Darren of Ohio; grandchildren, Hezakiah Urice, Marisa Sutton, Brandon Skorvanik, Justin Skorvanik, Krystal Skorvanik, Lilly Skorvanik, Austin Feaster, Kayla Welch, and Marcus Welch; a sister, Karen Albright and husband Donald; a brother, Timothy VanHouten and wife Gale; numerous nieces, nephews, a large extended family; her dog, Bella; and her cat, Penny.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 15th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland. A funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 1:00 p.m..
