Barbara Sue Evans, 82, of Cumberland, MD passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord October 15, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Cumberland on July 13, 1944 to the late Charles and Edith Bauman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Barbara graduated from Ridgeley High School, and had several jobs locally.

She was beyond a doubt a devoted mother and wife for her family. Especially for her son Brian who she cared for his entire life, and enjoyed participating with him at Friends Aware and the Boy Scouts Troop 89.

Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Cletus T. Evans; two sons, Philip Scott Evans and Brian Thomas Evans; her last surviving sibling, James Bauman and his wife Molly; in-laws who were very supportive of the family, Karnpuntita "Nok" Bauman, and Sherry and Perk Yates; along with her beloved extended family including many nieces and nephews; and many friends.

In accordance with her wishes she was cremated and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
