CUMBERLAND – Beth Ann (Alvis) Helmick, 58, of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at home.

Born August 4, 1965, in Hartsville, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Brock and Patricia E. (Willson) Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven R. Helmick, in 2010.

Beth was a graduate of Allegany High School. She loved children, and went on to run a daycare from her home. As a naturally nurturing person, she stayed at home to raise to her own children and found joy in taking care of plants as well as cooking. Beth's love also extended to animals – her pets were like family.

Beth leaves behind her children, Jessica Helmick (Phylip Ohler), Josh Helmick, and Janelle Helmick; grandchildren, Hadley, Rylan, Jordyn, Adrianna, and Nickoah; sisters, Rhonda Meehan (Jim) and Rhobin Skelly; good friend, Kathy Holliday; and beloved dogs, Bella and Scary Terry.

In accordance with her wishes, Beth's body will be cremated.
