Cumberland – Brenda Lee (Hall) Kunis, 57, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at her home.
Born April 10, 1966, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Roger and Nancy "Darlene" (Summers) Hall. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tammy Hall; father-in-law, William J. Kunis; mother-in-law, Myrna Kunis; brothers-in-law, Rodney Joiner and Rusty Kunis; sisters-in-law, Susan Kunis and Debbie McKinley; a niece, Haley House; and her four-legged best friend/companion, Friskey.
Brenda graduated from Frankfort High School in the class of 1984, where she enjoyed playing clarinet in the marching band. She went on to work at Sheetz and the Board of Education as a teacher's aide for students with disabilities for 20+ years. She loved working with the children!
Brenda loved doing everything with her family, including going to beach, playing cards, going for walks, gardening in her backyard, and volunteering with the Fort Hill band parents and for the Fort Hill football mother's club. She always wanted others to take a minute of their day and tell someone you love them! She was a member of Holy Cross UMC in Carpendale, WV. She loved God, her church, and working with the children in the Wednesday after school program there. She was a huge fan of Maryland basketball and Yankees baseball, especially her love for Derek Jeter.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 35 wonderful years, Timothy M. Kunis; her children and spouses, Timmy and Jensen Kunis, Jermey and Lacy Kunis, William "Rusty" and Karlyn Kunis; her siblings and spouses, Bucky and Tammy Hall, Tracy Joiner Wagoner and Jonathan, Mike Hall; a brother-in-law and spouse, Ronald and Danielle Kunis; sister-in-law and spouse, Pam and Fannor Butler; and a large extended family with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her grandbabies were the love of her life. Carter Lee, Greyson Michael, Gavin Patrick, and Brynleigh Ann were loved dearly by their "Nan Nan." Everything she did in her life the past two years were for her grandsons and granddaughter.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, MD 21502.
Services will be private, and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
