Briton Jay Kessel, 32, of Cumberland, MD, and Cocoa Beach, FL, passed on with the angels on Monday, July 9, 2018.Born October 24, 1985, Briton was the son of Lawrence R. Kessel and Linda (Moore) Kessel. Briton was a graduate of Allegany High School, studied at Allegany College of Maryland, Frostburg State University, and West Virginia Wood Technology Center in Elkins, WV. He was employed with his father at Kessel Lumber Products, Keyser, WV.Briton was preceded in death by his brother, Robert R. Kessel; paternal grandparents, Dorsey and Elinor Kessel; maternal grandparents, Ruth Moore Conn and William Conn; and his uncle, Richard Kessel.He is survived by his father, Lawrence Kessel; mother, Linda Kessel; sister, Tonya L. Smith, and her son, his precious nephew, Nolan Danial Smith, Cocoa Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Elissa Kessel, and her son, his precious nephew, Blake Avery Kessel; great-aunt, Vivian Hanlin; aunts, Elaine (Lawrence) Rotruck, and Karen (Kay) Hott; cousins, Denise (Keith) Miller, Gina (Steve) Goldizen, Blane (Kacia) Hott, Tina Smith, and Samantha Kessel; very special friend, Randall Mangold; as well as numerous cousins.Briton never met a stranger, and his kindness and loving manners glowed. He had the most caring and gentle heart, and he loved deeply.
