Obituary

Bryan Keith Stump, 39, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Born on January 30, 1987 in Cumberland, MD to Carl Andrew and Tammy Sue (Johnson) Stump. Bryan was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ralph Johnson, Carl Stump, and Al Thierry; nephew, baby Kayden Stump; uncle, "Big" Brian Hobell; special friend, Bubbles; along with several other great grandparents and uncles.

Bryan worked for Sheetz from the time he graduated from high school, working his way up to become a traveling manager. Bryan was recently assigned a permanent position, managing his own Sheetz store in Cresaptown and was looking forward to the challenge. Bryan enjoyed playing video games, reading, watching movies, photography and playing both the acoustic and electric guitar. He also enjoyed cooking and trying out new recipes, but more than anything else, he loved his children and his family. Bryan will be remembered for being a good person, who would do anything to help others.

Bryan is survived by his parents, Carl Andrew and Tammy Sue (Johnson) Stump; his loving children; Lily "Pug" Stump and Spencer Brody Stump; brothers; Joey A. Stump and Carl "Bucky" W. Stump and his girlfriend, Rhonda; grandmothers, Margaret Stump and Mary Thierry; aunts, Billie "Aunt Boo" Hobell, Dena Schiver and her husband, Rick and Gail Stump; uncles, Ralph Thierry and his wife, Carrie, Jeff Stump and his wife, Maria, and Larry Whitacre and his wife, Susan; great aunt, Andi Furlow and her husband, Neil; nieces, Natalie Stump and Raylyn Stump; nephews, Kael Stump, Carl W. Stump, Jr., and Tristan Workman; Bryan is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, MD 21502. A funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm.

Per Bryan's wishes, he will be cremated at a later date.

A luncheon will be held after the service at The Good Fellowship Club, 225 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, MD 21502.
