James (Jimmy) Patrick Lee passed away on September 15, 2025. Born in Boston, MA, he led a distinguished career as a physicist and engineer in the U.S. Navy and had a lifelong passion for sailing.

Carol Ann (Meade) Lee passed away on December 16, 2025. Born in Frostburg, MD, she served as an administrative and executive assistant for the U.S. Navy, Loudoun County Public Schools, the U.S. Geological Survey and the Freelance Daily Star.

On June 26, 1965, Jimmy and Carol married in Mount Savage, MD. They raised their children in Sterling, VA and retired to Lake of the Woods, VA, where they were active volunteers for the Lion & Lioness Club, LOW Sailing Club, and LOWLINC.

Jimmy and Carol are survived by their children, Catherine, Mark (and his wife Marjorie), and Tim (and his wife Daini); their grandchildren, Nathan, Noah, Erin, Juliette, Rey, and Soren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jimmy is also survived by his sister Joanne Lee, and Carol is also survived by her sister Janet Ross.

A joint funeral service will be held on January 17, 2026 at 11:00 am at Lake of the Woods Church, 1 Church Lane, Locust Grove, VA.

A graveside service in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Mount Savage, MD will be held Monday, January 19, 2026 at 1:00 pm with Deacon Ryan Schmeltzer officiating.
