LAVALE Carolyn Ann Erickson Amick, 84, of LaVale, died Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the Lions Center in Cumberland.Carolyn was born February 8, 1932, in Worcester, MA, and was the daughter of the late Rudolph Richard Erickson and Ellen (Anderson) Erickson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles S. Amick; and her grandson, Benjamin Howard.She is survived by her son, Richard E. Amick of Columbia, MD; daughter, Ruth A. Howard and her husband, Keith Howard of Piedmont, SC; and grandson, Daniel Howard of Piedmont, SC.Mrs. Amick was a graduate of Clark University in Worcester, MA, and received her MBA from the Wharton School of the University of PA in Philadelphia.She was employed with Beall, Garner, Screen and Geare. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church where she served as pianist for many years.The family will receive friends at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 10 to 12 pm.The funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at noon with Pastor Charles A.
