POTOMAC PARK, CUMBERLAND – Charles M. "Mick" Morgan, Jr., 74, of Potomac Park, Cumberland, MD, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

He is the son of the late Charles and Charlotte (Mullan) Morgan. He was also preceded in death by his sisters-in-law, Judy Brown and Teri Brown; brothers-in-law, Robert, Ronald, and Richard Brown.

Mick is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis (Brown) Morgan; sons, Charles "Adam" Morgan, Jason Morgan and wife, Samantha; grandchildren, Dylan and girlfriend, Ashley, Tyler, Haven and Paeton Morgan; brothers, Harry "Rusty" Morgan and wife, Sue, and Dale Morgan and wife, Sue; brother-in-law, Gary Brown; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Brown; many nieces and nephews.

Mick was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Navy from 1967 to 1972. During his time he was stationed in the States and was stationed in Rota, Spain for two years. He loved telling stories of his time in the service to anyone willing to listen. He worked for 40 years at Sears as an auto mechanic and state inspector.

After retiring, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching his favorite teams – the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Redskins. He also liked to watch Westerns on television.

Mick will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 11am to 1pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm. Military honors will be conducted at the funeral home by Ft. Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard. Interment will be in MD State Veteran's Cemetery, Rocky Gap.
