CORRIGANVILLE-Charlotte Jean Jewell, 88, of Corriganville, passed away on Friday January 6, 2017 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.Born on July 23, 1928 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William and Alma (Lawthers) Martz. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ronald Dale Jewell; three brothers Leonard Martz, David Martz, and Lorraine Martz.Charlotte was an active member of the Lavale United Methodist Church where she served with the Ladies Auxiliary, Vacation Bible School and the Gold Group. She enjoyed sewing and doing ceramics. Above all she loved spending time with her family.Surviving are her two daughters Dianne Parker and husband Gary and Cathy Brick; one son Ronald T. Jewell and wife Wendy; one sister Vivian Shroyer; two brothers Samuel Eugene Martz and Paul Vernon Martz; four grandchildren Zachary Preston Phillips, Heather Lynn Link, Tara Marie Jewell, and Travis Sigler; one great-granddaughter Avery Paige Cook; numerous nieces and nephews.Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A. 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland on Thursday from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.A Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Frankie Revell officiating.Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.Condolences for the family may be left at www.ScarpelliFH.com
