In Loving Memory of Christina Marie (Wright) Smith

On July 22, 2023, the world lost a remarkable soul as Christina "Tina" Marie (Wright) Smith peacefully passed away. Tina, known for her radiant smile and boundless love, touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Born on a bright spring day on March 18, 1966, Tina was the beloved daughter of Donovan and Juanita "Susie" Wright. From an early age, she exhibited a vibrant spirit and was actively involved in various activities, including being a dedicated member of 4-H and a majorette for both District 16 VFD and Fort Hill High School. She went on to graduate from Fort Hill's class of 1984, and her academic journey led her to Frostburg State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science in 1987.

Family was at the center of Tina's life, and she poured her heart into being a loving wife to Bruce Smith and a devoted mother to her three children: Siera (Smith) Wigfield, Bryce Smith, and Chablis (Smith) Miller. As a grandmother, she delighted in the joy brought by her grandchildren: Carmelita Wigfield, Jasper Wigfield, and Remi Miller. Tina cherished every moment spent with her family, and her nurturing spirit extended to her own grandparents and mother-in-law, providing loving care until their final days.

Throughout her life, Tina was a woman of many talents and passions. In her professional endeavors, she excelled as a licensed realtor from 1989 to 1991, and later embraced the role of a dedicated stay-at-home mom, devoting her time and love to her family. Tina was a wonderfully creative and artistic individual who had a flair for turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories. Her imaginative spirit was evident in the magical parties she threw, which would undoubtedly have been at the top of everyone's Pinterest boards if the platform had existed in the 90's. Alongside her dear friend Pam Di'Maio, she co-owned Sugar Plum Bakers, where they delighted customers at the Cumberland Farmers Market with their delectable baked goods.

Beyond her family and career, Tina found joy in her hobbies and interests. An enthusiastic member of the Mid Atlantic Early Bronco community, and Gang Green, a group of fellow Green Ford Bronco owners across the country.

Tina's warm and inviting nature extended far beyond her immediate family and friends. Her home was a sanctuary of hospitality, where she effortlessly made everyone feel welcome and cared for. Whether it was a gathering of loved ones or strangers, Tina's genuine kindness and generous spirit ensured that no one left her home without being well-fed and thoroughly embraced as part of her extended family.

Tina's spirit was as beautiful as her smile, characterized by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering love for others. Her nurturing and selfless nature made her a pillar of strength for her family and friends, always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

To honor Tina's memory, a private memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Tina's name to Levi's Pennies from Heaven, a local foundation supporting causes and families in the community. Donations can be made at the following address:
