Frostburg Christopher Michael "Chris" Myers, 30, of Frostburg, formerly of suburban Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016.Chris was born at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX, on May 16, 1986. He was the son of Betty Jo (Garlock) Myers-Brantner and Carl Michael "Mike" Myers.Chris was raised in suburban, Philadelphia, and he graduated from Norristown Area High School and the Center for Technical Studies in June 2004. He worked in his trade as an automobile mechanic until 2008 when he moved to Maryland. In Cumberland, he worked for the Safelite Auto Glass Company. Chris loved the outdoors, and he enjoyed going to Blackwater Falls with his dog, Hammer. Most of all, he enjoyed working on cars, and he loved animals.In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by half-brother, Jason Michael Garlock and his wife Holly, Corriganville; step-sister, Jennifer Brantner, Harrisburg, PA; step-brothers, Jon-Paul Purdy and wife Jaime, Glenwood Forest, WV, Michael Purdy and wife Stephanie, Berkley Springs, WV, Jousha Purdy and wife Yung, Frostburg, and Leo Moccro and wife Stephanie, Eckhart; uncle, William H. "Junior" Myers, Jr., Frostburg; and aunts, Linda Sue and Carol. He is also survived by his aunt, Vickie Clower, and several cousins.Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Tuesday, December 13, from 3-7 P.M.
