CRESAPTOWN – Clarence "Bill" William Shook, 83, of Cresaptown, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020, at home surrounded by family.
Born March 21, 1937, in Rawlings, he was the son of the late Clarence and Evelyn Shook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Eileen Sines, Mary Ann Kesner, and Waneta Hawkins; and brothers, Alfred Shook and Stephen Shook, Sr.; and wife, Carolyn Shook.
Bill retired from Super Concrete after 43 years of service. He was a member of Danville Church of the Brethren, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, bowling, gambling, horseshoes, gardening, and mornings at Gene's Restaurant.
He is survived by his daughters, Beverly Bible and partner, Jimbo, Pinto, Brenda Warren and husband, Chris, Cumberland, Tina VanMeter and husband, Bill, Cumberland; Jennifer Lindner and special friend, Ed, Cumberland; grandchildren, Richard and wife, Tina, Chris Jr., Amy, Brian, Kristina, Billy and wife, Carrisa; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Brooke, Brayden, Jaylynn, Corbin, Bryson, Parker, Brantley, Kaden, and Logan.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, on Thursday, October 15, 2020, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, October 16, 2020, at 1 p.m. with Pastor John Flick officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Biertown Cemetery.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and nurses who cared for Clarence during his battle with cancer and kidney disease, as well as the hospice nurses.
