CUMBERLAND – Clifton L. Silvious, 60, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2022, at home. Born May 19, 1961, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Raymond and Patricia (Warner) Silvious. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond, Jr. and Clifford Silvious; and nephews, Travis Deavers and James Martin, III. Surviving are three sisters, Gail Groves, Pauline Muir, Patricia Karns and husband, Rodney; one brother, Alex Silvious; two nieces, Terri Martin and Mandi Deavers; three nephews, Roger and Michael Groves, and Tony Riggs; several grandnieces and nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends. Clifton attended Fort Hill High School. Clifton was an active member of the Goodfellowship Club and Fraternal Order of the Eagles. His favorite pastime was NASCAR racing, and he was an avid follower of Dale Earnhardt. He also enjoyed stock car racing at the Bedford Fairgrounds and working on cars as a self-taught mechanic. Per his request, Clifton will be cremated. A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.
