--------------------------------------------
Darrin was a Cresaptown man, but, because he was born into a U. S Army family, he travelled about as necessary during his childhood as a son of Sergeant Major Robert Lewis of Cresaptown, a combat veteran of the Vietnam and Persian Gulf wars, and Linda Ware, whose parents owned and operated the Cresap Tavern.
Darrin and his brother Bric had childhoods that included living on or near many of the stations of his esteemed father's assignments, which included Germany, Kentucky, Georgia, New Jersey, and Connecticut, which would explain why Darrin graduated from Manchester High School in Connecticut in 1989.
After his graduation, and after his father's retirement from military, the family moved back to Cresaptown, where Darrin rejoined old family and friends, and where he continued to make new friends, earning people over with his simple, humble, sincere character.
He was a music aficionado, who loved all kinds of music, animals, playing guitar, hanging out with his best friends, and finding clever, subtle ways of serving others. He will be sorely missed, never forgotten, and always loved.
