Della June (Junie as she was fondly called by her family) Morgan, 96, of Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born January 6, 1929, in Magnolia, WV in Morgan County. She was the daughter of the late George and Georgia (Hare) Appold. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Morgan in 1999; one brother, Russell Appold; two nephews, Russell W. Appold Jr and Larry K. Appold; two nieces, Sharon and Karen Appold (twins); one great nephew, Kevin Shambaugh.

June was a graduate of Paw Paw High School. She was a member of the Barrelville Presbyterian Church. She served as an Elder and was a member of the ladies group.

Surviving are five nieces, Donna Shambaugh of Paw Paw, WV, Carol V. Bauer of Mt Union, PA, Nina Gunter of Mt Union, PA,  Beverly Moylan of Glen Burnie, MD, and Andrea Avera of White Marsh, MD; also by many great and great-great nieces and nephews, of whom she resided with her great nephew, Joe & Carol Shambaugh of Oldtown, MD.

The family will receive friends at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland on Sunday, March 30 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 31 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ann Atkins officiating, visitation will be held for one hour prior to service.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD.
