Cresaptown—Dennis L. Kline, 76, of Cresaptown, passed away on Tuesday June 25, 2024 at Peace Healthcare at Lions Center.

Born in Slanesville, WV, on August 23, 1947, he was the son of the late Loring Bernard and Mary Lou (Edwards) Kline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Edwards; step-father, Lawrence Riggleman; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dennis graduated from Ridgeley High School, and he attended Allegany College of Maryland. Dennis served his country in the United States Army. After being discharged from the Army, Dennis moved back to Cumberland where he married, lived, and worked.

Dennis collected hats and turtles. He enjoyed doing calligraphy and drawing. Dennis loved his country. He had the ability to look at a picture and draw it.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Ann (Fink) Kline; daughter, Deanna Grimm; grandsons, Dakota May (Crystal Draheim), Matthew May (Brianna Katz), Joshua Wilson, Gabriel Wilson; great grandsons, Collen and Hunter May; sisters, Bernice Snyder (Bill), Diane McTaggart and Cindy Robertson (Mike). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M.

A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 1 P.M. with Rev. Philip Cheek officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by Ft. Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard.
