Ridgeley, WV – Dennis J. Liller, 72, of Short Gap, WV, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at his home.

Born April 26, 1951, he was the son of the late Charles and Lila (Moreland) Liller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Charles Liller; a brother-in-law James Mckinley Lark; parents-in-law, Ted and Evelyn Buser.

Denny graduated from Fort Ashby High School in the class of 1969. While in school he played on the baseball and basketball teams, and his senior year the basketball team played in the state championship. He worked at the Kelly Tire Co. until it closed, and then he was a Teamsters Union truck driver until his retirement.

He was an avid hunter, and mentored all of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, to be outdoorsmen and hunters. Denny loved drinking coffee and spent a lot of time at the Chat-n-Chew restaurant.

Denny is survived by his loving wife and best friend of, 54 years, Deborah (Buser) Liller. Also surviving Dennis his children, Dena Iser (James), Scott Liller (Andrea), Brad Liller (Michele), Krista Lark (Robert); grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Shunk, Nathan (Sawyer) Taylor, Shawnee (Alex) Whaley, Bradley (Sarah) Liller, Colton (Natalie) Lark, Dakota Taylor, Ali Lark (fiancé James Beddow), Ethan (Victoria) Liller; great-grandchildren, Tegan, Denton, Kayden, Ava, Asher, McDowell, Grayson, Lakelyn, Isabella; siblings, Connie Lark, Steven Liller, and Darlene Steward; a best friend, Galen Amtower; and a large extended family.

In accordance with his wishes, Dennis will be cremated.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown on Sunday, January 14th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.. A celebration of his life will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m..
