Cumberland - Dianna Lynne Smith, 63, of Cumberland, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 18, 2024 at her home.

Born August 21, 1960, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Helen Briner. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Angela Long and Cynthia Whittington.

Dianna was a graduate of Allegany High School in 1979. She liked to play BINGO, shoot skill pool, and work on many different kinds of crafts. However, her greatest joy in life was being a Mom.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Douglas Smith; children, Cassi Love and husband "J.R.", of Keyser, WV, David Smith and Aliyaah Smith, both of Cumberland; two granddaughters, Alexia Love and Keiley Love; four sisters, Christina Lease and husband Larry, Regina Lease and husband Jim, Pamela Layman and Patty Briner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated. There will be no memorial service, and inurnment will be private at a later date.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, WVU Medicine, Morgantown, WV, and the wonderful nurses and staff from UPMC Hospice, Cumberland, MD.
