Donald "Duck" Gene Forbeck, Jr., 57, of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at his home.

Born October 11, 1967, in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Clara Maxine (McFarlan) and Donald Gene Forbeck, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Autumn Beth Baker Blackburn.

Duck was a graduate of Frankfort High School and went on to work in auto body repair. He was a talented artist who had a knack for drawing, but his true passion was cheering on his favorite sports teams – the Steelers and the Mountaineers. If a game was televised, it was a sure thing that Duck was watching it.

Duck is survived by siblings, Jeri Lou Jackson, James "Jim" Bone and wife, Carole, and Carmen Baker; and a large extended family including numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 5 to 7pm. A memorial service will immediately follow at 7pm with Pastor Leo Lavin officiating.

Inurnment in Mt. Hermon Cemetery will be private.
