Donna Fay (Imes) May of Flintstone, Maryland (88) went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2026. Born May 27, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Humphrey Milford Imes and Sylvia Marie (Lashley) Imes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Leo May, her son, Donald Bradley May, her grandson, Daniel Aaron May, her brother in law's, Gerald Schade, Joseph Byrnes, Herbert May and Palmer Adams, and sister in laws, Betty Adams and Helen May.

Donna was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, Class of 1957 and Catherman's Business School.

Donna was elected to the position of Judge of the Orphans' Court for Allegany County from December 1986 to her retirement of December 31, 2021. She was re-elected nine times. With 35 years of service, she is believed to be the longest serving Orphans' Court Judge in the State of Maryland, one of the longest serving elected officials in Allegany County and one of the longest serving elected Republicans in the State of Maryland. Judge May frequently received the highest number of votes in recent election cycles. She served 18 of those years as Chief Judge. She strived to be fair, compassionate and serve with dignity. She was a collector of many items to include porcelain dolls, barbie dolls, quilts, tea cups, and books. She always used to laugh and say "She never got enough toys when she was a young child". Besides her passion of reading books, her hobbies included doing puzzles, bird watching, and feeding every wild animal that came to the yard.

Surviving her, is her daughter, Rhonda Twigg and husband Alec of Flintstone, her sisters, Ardith Byrnes of Rockville, Md and Twila Schade of Cumberland, her grandchildren, Brad Mullenax and wife Katrina of Flintstone, Vanessa Whysong and husband Greg of Fishertown, PA, and Tyler Twigg and Fiancée Heather Snyder of Frostburg. Her great-grandchildren, Blake and Mason Mullenax, Ethan Whysong and wife Alexa of Osterberg, Pa. Dylan and Brielle Whysong and Aubrey Twigg. She is also survived by her late son's companion, Sherrie Dever of Frostburg, several special nieces and nephews, close friends and her cat, Smokey.

Per her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no visitation/service.
