CUMBERLAND – Dorothy Lee Snyder, 97, of Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Devlin Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Born October 12, 1923, in Hancock, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Mary (Bishop) McCullough. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin L. Snyder; grandson, Terry Snyder; great-granddaughter, Kayla Thompson; brothers, Grey McCullough and wife Ruby, Lloyd McCullough and wife Mary, and William McCullough and wife Lena.
Dorothy was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church, and she was a member of Living Word Lutheran Church.
Dorothy leaves behind sons, David M. Snyder and wife, Sharon, Cumberland, and Steven L. Snyder and wife, Bonnie, Short Gap, WV; grandchildren, Tammy and husband Dwayne, Stacy and husband Charles, Michael and wife Diana, and Steven; great-grandchildren, Brandon and wife Jackie, Joshua and wife Isabella, Seth, and Hayden; great great-grandchildren, Brice, Blake, Colton, Raeghan, and Joshua.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday, May 30, 2021, from Noon to 3 P.M.
Funeral and committal services will be conducted at the funeral home at 3 P.M. with Pastor Mark C. Dill officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
