Dr. David Fuderich of Cumberland, Md lost his courageous fight with cancer and passed away in his sleep on June 6, 2023.

David will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful family member, neighbor and friend, a gentle and caring dentist with a quick sense of humor who loved his patients. David was always there when one needed a kind word, a gentle push or an encouraging smile. He was passionate about the practice of dentistry and once said he could think of nothing he would rather do in life. He was also a gourmet cook and loved filling a room with laughter, good spirit and great food.

David was born in Aliquippa, Pa on January 14, 1963 to Mrs. Laurie Fuderich and the late Peter Fuderich. He was a 1981 graduate of Hopewell High School in Aliquippa and a 1985 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry and after graduating in 1989, maintained a dental practice in Pittsburgh until he moved to Cumberland in 2009.

He is survived by his mother, Laurie Fuderich, of Aliquippa, Pa, former spouse, Michelle Stout and two children, Abbie and Sam Stout, all of Sarasota, Florida, his sister Mary Ellen Young and her husband, Larry of Mars, Pennsylvania, older brother, Rob Fuderich and his wife Toon who live in Amherst, Massachusetts.

A memorial service will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on 201 N. Center St. Cumberland at 11:00 on Saturday June 10 followed by a celebration of life reception at Pucchini's Restaurant on 12901 Ali Ghan Rd, NE. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of David to the American Cancer Society.
