Earl Lee Kroll (Lee), 88, of Lakewood, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, July 25th, 2025.
Born on October 15th, 1936, Lee was the son of the late Earl Kroll and Naomi Filer Kroll. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew T. Kroll, and his sister, Beverly Kroll Blair and husband Dick Blair.
Lee was a member of Midland Grace United Methodist Church in his youth and a devoted member of Cresaptown United Methodist Church for the past 42 years. A 1954 graduate of Beall High School, he went on to earn his degree in accounting from Strayer University in 1957. Lee retired after 38 years of service as a traffic supervisor at Kelly Springfield.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, and golfing.
Lee is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Marie Kroll; two daughters, Leann Frank and husband Dave Frank of Rawlings, MD, and Stacy Wolfe and husband Shannon Wolfe of Leonardtown, MD. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Heather Frank of Cambridge, MA; Hunter Frank of Rawlings, MD; and Tyler Wolfe and wife Jackie Wolfe, who are stationed in San Diego, CA with the U.S. Navy. He was especially proud to welcome his great-granddaughter, Josephine Wolfe, also in San Diego, CA. and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home in Cresaptown, MD, on Wednesday, July 30th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM with Rev. Patrick Buhrman officiating.. Interment will follow at Frostburg Memorial Park in Frostburg, MD.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cresaptown United Methodist Church. The family extends special thanks to WV Mountain Hospice and UPMC Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
Lee will be remembered for his quiet strength, steady devotion to family, and the deep faith that guided his life.
