RIDGELEY, WV – Edward Francis Padfield Sr., of Ridgely, WV, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the age of 84.

Born in Cumberland, MD, Edward was the son of James Padfield and Clara Mae (Fisher) Padfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; his brother, James Padfield; nephew, Freddie Fuller; brother-in-law, Jerry Fuller; and best-friend, Wink Sherman.

Edward retired from the Upper Potomac River Commission. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was known as Short Gap with his fishing buddies.

Edward is survived by; his wife of 43 years, Wilma Padfield; his daughter, Tina McClellan, and significant other, Codi Nicol; sister, Pattie Fuller; niece, Courtaney Hussion; nephews, James Fuller and Lance Padfield; and sister-in-law, Bettie Padfield.

In accordance with his wishes, Edward's body will be cremated. Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. will be in charge of his arrangements. At his request, there will be no visitation held.
