Cumberland – Eleanor Mae (Kiefer) Carlile, 101, passed away on May 3, 2025 at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehab.

Born March 26, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Charles Franklin Kiefer and Martha Boyce (Nash) Kiefer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Carlile, Sr.; her daughter, Sharon Lisowski; her son, Clinton "Moe" Carlile, Jr.; and her grandson, Shawn Carlile; as well as her siblings. Eleanor was the last of her generation to pass.

She could be found in the garden and spending her times outdoors, whether that be camping or swimming. She also had a passion for baking and playing shuffleboard. Eleanor enjoyed going yard saling and shopping in Winchester, VA with her good friend, Anita Simmons.

Eleanor leaves behind her daughter, Patricia Wertz; her grandchildren, Rodney Wertz, Stacy Faidley and husband, Joey, Tina Frey and husband, Rich, Cheryl Lisowski and husband Tobias, Toby Carlile and wife Jennifer, Chris Carlile and wife Jolene, Aaron Carlile and fiancée Rebecca Mertz, Travis Carlile and wife Erin, and Candy Keefer Boarman and husband Mark; her great-grandchildren Joey, Chris, Travis, Miranda, Wyatt, Dakoda, Megan, Brooke, Carson, Aaron Jr., Peyton, Landon, Noah, Dakota, Patrick, Blake, Fiona, Max, and Tyler; her great-great-grandchildren, Camden, Adley, Hudson, William, Karlie, Carson, and Macie; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation will be held at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, on Sunday, May 18th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow, officiated by Pastor Sandy Cowan.

A dinner will be held a Patricia's home, 131 Champion Street, Wiley Ford. Please park at 172 Springfield Street, Wiley Ford, WV and walk to Patricia's House.

Interment will be held in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the amazing staff at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehab for their help in taking care of Eleanor for nearly ten years.
