CUMBERLAND – Elizabeth Virginia "Libby" Willard, 99, of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at UPMC Western Maryland. Born April 17, 1923, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth E. (Law) and John Perry Willard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Vernon, Kenneth, and Oscar Willard; sister-in-law, Beatrice Willard. Libby was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, and after attending cosmetology school, she worked as a hair stylist. She also worked as a glass etcher for a number of years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Our Lady of the Mountains, until her health prevented her from attending mass. As a creative person, Libby liked to knit and crochet. She would make sweaters for her nieces as well as Barbie clothes. Left behind to cherish her memory are nieces and nephews, Vicki Willard Pomeroy, Kenneth Willard, Leslie (Willard) Dunsworth, and Sharon (Willard) Schroeder. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Monday, June 13, 2022, from 12 to 12:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Monday at 1pm. Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park. Condolences may be left at www.ScarpelliFH.com.
