CUMBERLAND – Emma Marie "Tooty" Brant, 94, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Moran Manor.

Born February 17, 1930, in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Leona May (Twigg) Brant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William Stanley Brant and George Russell Brant; sisters, Helen Carr, Betty L. Rice, and Pearl M. Wood; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Tooty was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was a homemaker for the entirety of her life – the "mother hen" of the neighborhood. Tooty took care of her parents and cooked for her friends, family, neighbors, and anyone else in need of a good, hot meal. She was a gentle, quiet soul who had a great sense of humor.

Interment in Sunset Memorial Park will be private.
