Cumberland, MD – Eva Hesta (Bright) Moore, 89, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehab.

Eva was born April 5, 1935, in Hendricks, WV. In addition to her mother, Rosa Belle and her father, Martin, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Herbert, Howard, Van, Calvin, Nathan and Ben; and her sisters, Genevieve, Virginia, Londa, Hallena, and Ellen. Eva was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Eva was a graduate of Tucker County High School and retired from Sears.

Eva enjoyed bowling, traveling, and socializing at Chick-fil-a. She was a long time member of LaVale United Methodist Church, where she was active in the UMW, the food pantry, and other programs. Eva enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at LaVale United Methodist Church.

Inurnment will be July 12, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. in Parsons City Cemetery, Parsons, WV.
