Cumberland – Evelyn Elizabeth (Snyder) Neal, 97, of Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at her home.

Born April 18, 1927, in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Norman E. and Kathryn (Sites) Snyder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 60 years, Robert Louis Neal and her daughter Linda (Geist) Nischan.

Evelyn enjoyed gardening, voraciously reading mystery novels and doting on her beloved cats Flop and Callie.

Evelyn is survived by her grandchildren, Ken Nischan and Melissa Nischan and her great-grandson Tyler Turnbaugh.

A graveside service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Shrewsbury, PA, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Herbst officiating.

Interment will be in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery.
