CUMBERLAND—Frances Ann Glenn, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Hearthstone Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born on July 31, 1936, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Bernard J. and Edna Mary (Tracy) Beck. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Glenn, Sr.; two sisters, Mary Catherine Reed and husband, James, and Jeannette Hendershot and husband, Harold "Butch;" brothers, Anthony E. Beck and wife, Bernard J. "Skip" Beck and wife, Rose, and Robert L. Beck and wife, Susie. Frances was a graduate of St. Mary High School, class of 1955. Following high school, she was a nursing assistant, grocery store clerk at Coyle's Market on Virginia Avenue, and clerk at Foodland Market. Most of all, her primary task was taking care of her husband and family. Frances was a member of St. Mary's and St. Ambrose Catholic churches, Our Lady of the Mountains Parish. She enjoyed crocheting and taking care of her puppies. Artistic by nature, Frances enjoyed doing crafts, shopping, and playing bingo. Though kind at heart, Frances was known for letting you know exactly what was on her mind. Surviving are her children, Leonard Glenn, Jr. and wife, Pam, Linda Stair and husband, Robert, and Lori Bennett and husband, Stephen; grandchildren, Leonard Glenn and wife, Mindy, Mindy Glenn, Adam Stair, Courtney Taylor and husband, Robert, Ashlynn Feyko and husband, Jared; great-grandchildren, Jayden Taccino, Nathaniel Glenn, Jenson Taylor, Eliza Taylor, and Asher Feyko. She is also survived by brother, James R. Beck and wife, Darlene, and several nieces and nephews. Because of health care considerations, and Frances' personal request, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. The family was very grateful to the kind, considerate staff at Hearthstone Nursing and Rehabilitation for the care given to their mother during her stay at the nursing home.
