Cumberland—Freda Gail Bunner, 80, of Cumberland, presently living at the Egle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at the Nursing Center. Born in Baltimore, MD, on February 29, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Ward and Myrtle (Toothman) Leasure. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Harold "Bugsy" Bolyard; sisters, Dottie Gross and Virginia Matthews; brothers, Tom Ammons and Bob Ammons. Freda was a graduate of Fort Hill High School. Following high school, she was employed at Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department, and retired from that position in 2002. Freda was a member of the Mount Herman United Methodist Church. She was a Baltimore Orioles fan, and enjoyed playing shuffle bowl and Bingo. Freda is survived by her children, Freda Herrell and William Bolyard; grandchildren, Sadie, Ben, Krystal, Pete, Jessica, Shari, and Josh; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, John Ammons. Due to healthcare considerations, there will be no formal visitation. A graveside service will be conducted at Mount Herman Cemetery on Friday, December 11, 2020, at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Bruce McBride officiating. A celebration of Freda's life will be held at a later date.
