CUMBERLAND – Gail C. Wigfield, 72, of Cumberland, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born June 12, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Clara Mynheir and James Long. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, and infant son.

Gail graduated from Allegany High School and went on to work at Super Shoe. She later opened a dog grooming salon in her basement and had many beloved customers. Gail and her mother enjoyed luncheons with the Red Hat Diva Darlings. The Never Too Late Girls dancing group were a special part of her life. Gail had many friends, and she adored them all. She will be terribly missed by her special friends, Karen Emerick, Kelly and Judy Bridges, and Joe Metzner, who loved her very much. All of Gail's friends were very special to her.

Gail leaves behind cousin, David Urbas and wife, Kathy; and stepsons, Mike and Jeff. Gail will be reunited at the Rainbow Bridge with her beloved furbabies, Cagney, Lacy, Taffy, Grace, Lilly, Joe, and Ming the cat.

According to her wishes, there will be no services, and she will be cremated and placed with her family in Sunset Memorial Park.
