CUMBERLAND Gary Alston Crabtree of Cumberland, MD passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at University of Maryland Medical Center. He was 73.He was born on August 5, 1942 in Cumberland, MD. He attended Fort Hill High School and Johns Hopkins School of Radiologic Technology.In 1968, he married Trudy Brothers, and together they had three children, Michael, Jayson, and Jordan. Gary loved his grandchildren dearly: Riley, Zachary, Quinn, Sullivan, and Kirby.Gary worked as Chief Radiologic Technologist Administrator at Johns Hopkins Hospital and completed his career as Vice President of Sales at Standard Medical Imaging. He served as President of the Maryland Radiologic Technologist Society, and coached numerous soccer and softball teams over the years.A charismatic soul, Gary was very funny, and enjoyed fast pitch softball, fishing, and photography. He will be greatly missed. Gary is survived by his wife, sons, grandchildren, and sister, Sharon Porter.Visiting hours will be organized by Scarpelli Funeral Home at their Virginia Avenue location on Wednesday, June 1st from 4:00pm 7:00pm.
