Glenn W. Winfield, 75, of Short Gap, WV passed away peacefully with his family on January 11, 2026 at UPMC Western Maryland.

He was born September 26, 1950 in Cumberland, MD to the late Robert and Ruth (Teter) Winfield. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, P. Darlene Winfield; and his brother, Leonard Winfield.

Glenn graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1969. Immediately following school he served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning he joined the Local #489 Plumbers and Steamfitters, where he worked and maintained membership for 51 years.

He was known for his keen mind for the mechanics of tractors and equipment, which he was passionate about fixing, using, and restoring. Glenn enjoyed riding motorcycles and going on many trips. He held memberships at the Cumberland Moose and a lifetime membership at the V.F.W.. Above all else he loved his time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are his children, Travis Winfield and Susan Evans and her husband Matthew; grandsons, Brandon Winfield (Brooke Boepple) and Andrew Winfield; granddaughters, Krystin Evans and Kelsey Evans; and his large extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be Monday, January 19th 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, MD 21502.

Visitation will also be held Tuesday, January 20th, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.at the funeral home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Stephen Fernandes, OFM, Cap beginning at 10:30 a.m. at The Shrine of SS. Peter and Paul, 125 Fayette Street, Cumberland, MD.

Interment will be in the Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone, MD.
