CUMBERLAND – Gloria Jean Cleveland, 91, formerly of South Conda Way, Rawlings, and most recently of Peace Healthcare at Lions Center, Cumberland, went to Heaven on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Born June 21, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Emory F. and Doris (Harr) Kitzmiller. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Boyd O. Cleveland, in 2004; sister, Mary (Kitzmiller) Wilson; and brother, Emory E. Kitzmiller and wife Beverly "Bunny."

Gloria worked as a Cafeteria Manager at Belair Elementary and retired after years of service.

She enjoyed cooking family meals and baking, as well as going to the river at the South Branch and Savage River. Gloria enjoyed and loved very much her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. All of the family enjoyed her get-togethers at the family home in Rawlings. She also enjoyed fishing and Bingo.

Gloria leaves behind her son, Larry Cleveland; son, Michael Cleveland and wife Kristi; daughter, Kathy Cleveland and significant other Perry Kamp; six grandchildren, Heather Cleveland and significant other Michael Ross, Heidi Cleveland and significant other Charlie Tressler, Holly (Cleveland) Kennedy and husband Joe, Jenny (Cleveland) Lease and husband Scott, Ryan Cleveland and wife Abby, and Andrea (Cleveland) Hanlin and husband Will; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Maurice (Kitzmiller) Blackburn and husband Don; and two very dear friends who visited many times, Rob Maunel and Aley Sary.

At Gloria's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the workers at the Lions Center who made Gloria smile, as well as to the staff at UPMC Western Maryland Hospice.
