HAGERSTOWN – Harriet "Joan" Crowe, 82, of Hagerstown, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023, at Doey's House hospice facility.

Born September 30, 1940, in Centerville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Denver and Iona (Elliot) Zembower. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Joseph Crowe; brother, Jack Zembower; sister, Louise Hoenicka.

Joan was a graduate of Fort Hill High School. She was Catholic by faith. She liked to keep to herself, but she was an avid shopper.

Joan leaves behind her daughter, Tina Cavanaugh and husband, Gary Higgins; grandson, Christopher Cavanaugh and wife, Becca; great-granddaughter, Reagan Cavanaugh.

Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. is entrusted with arrangements.

A graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery, Centerville, PA, on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 1pm.
