Harry Wayne Little, 82, of LaVale passed away on December 28, 2020 at the Moran Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on January 27, 1938 in Lynchburg, VA and was proceeded in death by his parents, Harry Little, Sr. and Gladys Scruggs. "Chick-Little" as his friends knew him graduated from LaSalle High School and then served in the U.S. Navy. He was well known for playing the piano solo and with various bands in New London, CT, the Florida Keys, and the greater Cumberland area. He then owned and operated The Southern Lounge, formerly in Cumberland. Following he primarily worked in residential real estate rentals as an owner and operator until his retirement. In retirement he continued to play the piano at local nursing homes to share his gift and entertain the residents. In addition he loved traveling with his wife to the ocean and was a big animal lover. Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Karen L. Little; three daughters, Laurie Little of Texas, Priscilla Gordon and fiancé Curtis of LaVale, Melissa Martz of Cumberland; two step-daughters, Tammy Starr of Connecticut and Sherry Starr-Laco of Florida; three grandchildren, Billy Gordon and Josh Gordon of Virginia, Marissa Martz of Cumberland; two sisters, Robin Torbit and husband Jack of Virginia, Sandy Harbin and husband Ron of Virginia; a brother, Phillip Rawlings of Virginia; and a large extended family. Friends will be received on Monday, January 4th from 1 to 2:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, MD. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Caleb Shaffer officiating. Due to the ongoing pandemic all attending are required to wear a mask. Internment will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone, MD.
