Iona Louise (Carver) Skelley, 93, of Cresaptown, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 at her home.

Born March 29, 1931, in Central City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Carver and Larna R. (Gibbons) Grant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James W. Skelley; son, Paul Vincent Skelley; grandson, Paul Edward Skelley; brothers, Robert Carver and Donald Grant, and son-in-law, Robert George.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Church and the Lady Auxiliary.

Iona enjoyed crochet, ceramics and camping. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and tending to her flower garden whenever she could.

Iona is survived by sons, Floyd Skelley (JoAnna) and Edward Skelley (Debbie); daughter, Larna George; grandchildren, Jennifer Rolko (Matthew), James Vincent Skelley (Karen), Rachel Ridge (Ryan), Sommer Skelley ( Jason Kennell) and Candice Taylor (Scott); great-grandchildren, Theron and Jesse Rolko, Colin and Kayla Skelley, Jack and Henry Ridge, Alona Miller, and Hayden Dolly. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Jane Ann Carver and Sarah Grant.

Friends were be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway, Cresaptown on Monday, April 22, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown on Monday, April 23, at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
