Jacqueline Sue Groves, 69, of Cumberland, went to be with her Lord on March 24, 2022. Sue is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 52 years, Donald Groves. Sue was a homemaker and briefly worked at the Brandenburg Center. She enjoyed collecting dolls and antiques. Her favorite moments included going to yard sales with her husband and watching Hallmark movies. Donald and Sue loved to go for drives and watch wildlife. Sue was blessed with an intimate group of friends who helped her through her illness. Her niece, Brenda Lease, was her special caregiver and Sue's angel. She loved their time together sharing laughs as well as tears. Sandy Hardman, her best friend of 50 years, was always there with a sweet word of encouragement and a homecooked meal. Surviving are her daughter, Donna and husband Rick Miner of Ridgeley, and her sons Donnie Groves, Ft Ashby and Dave Groves, Indiana. She and her granddaughter, Carrie James, had a very special relationship. Sue leaves behind her grandchildren Emily, Kellci, Brittany, Katie, Allison, Dani and Kassie as well as 9 great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 10am with memorial service to follow at 11am with Pastor Betty Kennedy officiating.
