James Matthew Devore, 59, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 at UPMC-WM.

Born in Cumberland, Jimmy was the son of the late Ted Devore and Betty Clark.

Jimmy attended Allegany High School and spent his life roofing, painting and doing construction. During his free time, he could be found fishing or playing games such as cards or eight-ball. He also loved animals and wildlife. Jimmy was known to always be active and loved to be outside, whether that be exercising or riding one of his jet skis.

More than anything, Jimmy was known for his big and genuine heart. He loved his family and always made time for them. He was known for how great he was with interacting with the kids of the family.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Lucy "Annie" Devore. He is also survived by his daughter, Nicole Walters; grandchildren, Darrick Davenport III, Nijiana Powell, Ramiyah Powell, and Skylar Daugherty; and siblings, Raymond Devore, Tina Porter, David Devore, Rick Devore, and Chris Devore. He also is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to everybody who came together during this hard time.

Per his wishes, Jimmy will be cremated.
