CUMBERLAND James William "Jimmy" Ruckman, Sr., 50, of Cumberland, originally from Wiley Ford, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a long fight with heart disease.Born on December 22, 1968, in Cumberland, he was the son of Phillis (Comer) Ruckman and the late Richard L. Ruckman, Sr.Jimmy enjoyed spending time with the love of his life, Lisa Brotemarkle, their children and grandchildren at their family camp on Southbranch River. Jimmy had a long career as a truck driver, and later became a small engine repair man at the Cumberland Outdoor Power.He is survived by his companion, Lisa Brotemarkle; brothers, Clarence "Zep" Murray and wife Patty, and Richard L. Ruckman, Jr. and wife Linda; sisters, Pamela Nixon and fianc Rich Davis, Kathy Wagoner, and Emily Shugars and fianc Nathan Bridges; children, James W. Ruckman, Jr., Tonya Twigg and husband Rob, Charlie Brotemarkle, and Scottie Brotemarkle; grandchildren, Brayden, Kaylee, and Bryan Twigg; as well as several nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, Rachel, Buddy, Sunshine, and Liz.A memorial service will be held at the Wiley Ford Church of the Brethren, 3 State Street, Wiley Ford, WV, on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at 6 p.m.The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jimmy's name be sent to Wiley Ford Church of the Brethren, 3 State Street, Wiley Ford, WV 26767.Arrangements are entrusted to Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A.
