Jane Ellen Price, 73, of Cumberland, MD went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 7, 2025 at her home after a long battle with cancer.

She was born in Cumberland, on May 10, 1952, to the late Betty Jane Price.

Jane graduated from Fort Hill High School with the class of 1970. She went on to 40 years of service at the Allegany County Health Department as a lab technician, received many awards, and loved her coworkers who she considered family. She loved to travel and visited many places including Hawaii, Vegas, Bermuda, New York City, and her favorite spot in Maryland – Ocean City. She loved living in the Cumberland Meadows Apartments where she had many friends and served as the head of activities, such as bingo, dinners, and parties.

She is survived by the love of her life, her cat, Penny; best friends, Sandy Taylor, Calista Summercamp, who she considered a second mother and helped her find her way in life, and Cathy Roman, who was a mother figure to her; close friends, Leslie Fike, who loved cooking for Jane, Diane Holler, and Diana Heidel, who cared for her cat; and many other friends she made at work, home, and on her travels.

A celebration of Jane's life will be held at the Cumberland Meadows soon.
