CRESAPTOWN – Janice Marie Hanson, 64, of Cresaptown, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. She was born in Baltimore, MD, on August 3, 1957, to Kenneth D. Smith and the late Nettie Smith. In addition to her mother, Janice was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Boone and a son, Richard Lewis Morris, Jr. Janice enjoyed cooking and shopping at yard sales, especially with her mother. She loved gardening and, for a time, worked in landscaping. She is survived by her son, Brian Long and wife, Tracey, of Taneytown, MD; daughter, Rebecca Warehime and fiancé, Jon Classing, of LaVale, MD; sister, Vicky Ashton and husband, Joe, of Cresaptown; grandchildren, Jevin Long, Jace Long, Hailey Hage, Scott Jarriel, Jr., and Grace Mae Morris; one great-grandchild; a nephew, Tyler Ashton; and a niece, Summer Ashton. Per her wishes she will be cremated, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
