Jeannine (Davis) Linn, 96, of Cumberland, MD, passed away peacefully January 8, 2026 at Chamberlain Graceful Living, Cumberland. She was born March 20, 1929, in Shallmar, MD to the late Charles Merryman and Mary Helen (Matt) Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Patrick Linn, and all of her siblings, Wanda Middleton, Helen Bujac, Marcella Cox, Alvin Davis, Norma Lee Hovatter, and Larry Davis.

Jeannine was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, where she met her husband. After having six children, she then had a long career as an operator with the telephone company. She was a Catholic and dedicated member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she was active in Martha's Group and with the volunteers who cleaned the church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going out with friends, watching PBS (especially British comedies), curling up with a good book, and appreciating the view of Cumberland from her home. She loved her family very much and was so proud of their accomplishments.

Surviving are her six children, Bryan Linn and partner Barb, Terri Brown and husband Mike, Chuck Linn, Steve Linn and wife Bobbi, Larry Linn, and Diane Webb and husband David; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her close niece, Mary Merrill; devoted goddaughter Sara Rice; and her large extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, MD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Stephen Fernandes, OFM, Cap. officiating at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 301 E. Oldtown Rd, Cumberland, MD.

Internment will be with her husband at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone, MD.
